The London 2012 Olympic torch passes through Ludlow in South Shropshire on Thursday 24th May. Thousands lined the streets to see the selected carriers as the torch made its way from Herefordshire to be carried through the town centre. A air of patriotism and celebration was obvious with many of the spectators waving flags and the streets and shops all decorated in red, white and blue bunting and flags.
While we’re on the subject of Scotland in 2010, and Ice, here’s another one from that trip.
Rockham Bay, Devon
Spent the weekend down on the North Devon coast. The weather was great, it didn’t rain until it was time to head home. Unfortunately, though the weather was great, it was maybe just a little too good for landscape photography. A group of people are enjoying the evening on the beach if you look carefully!
Still, it was great to get back out and shoot some landscapes. It’s been far to long!
So last week saw me go into the studio for a shoot. I didn’t know what to expect, I had no idea who the model would be.
Anyway, the shoot itself was interesting to say the least and my photograph of the day is above. Contemplating dropping a road into the background to make a composite. Sounds like a little photoshop project for myself.
The photo has also been entered into the Adidas ‘take the stage’ competition. You can vote for my entry here: http://discover.adidas.co.uk/goallin/challenges/ugc/UY8n.lYvj~vBKJ8kBOelGYqjNLK323vJnGRyB7AgOTA
Thanks!!
Architecture. Its long been a passion of mine. The way in which a space can be manipulated for maximum functionality and design merit. If i had not have chosen to become a photographer I would have almost certainly wanted to have become an architect.
Over the summer months I will be posting much more architectural photography work, if it interests you follow, like and re-blog my work.
Thanks
Photography is only a new road from a different direction, but moving toward the common goal, which is life.
This is my quest, to follow that star,
No matter how hopeless, no matter how far
Yesterday I made the best of the weather, dodging the April showers to shoot some architecture. This is just a sneak preview from my phone, photos will follow shortly on my website www.edwardfury.co.uk in the architecture gallery.
Watch this space!
Was just out in the garden today, noticed that the tulips were starting to bloom. It would have been rude not to…
